A unified, in-building mobile phone sharing system

Traditionally, when installing the infrastructure to provide mobile phone signals throughout the buildings such as commercial facilities and offices, each mobile operator installed their own antennas, cables, and equipment. JTOWER provides infrastructure sharing solutions by developing and offering new network equipment which integrates each mobile operator’s network infrastructure. Because installation can be completed by a single network, various costs and construction processes are significantly reduced.

The system that connects the DAS and antenna to each mobile operator base station is operated by JTOWER, and used by each mobile operator.

Necessity of an in-building mobile communications infrastructure

Although 70 to 80% of mobile phone usage takes place inside of building, wireless signals have difficulty reaching underground locations and high level floors and various locations of very large buildings.

Communication can also slow down when many users are gathered in a single location.

Providing an in-building mobile communications infrastructure improves satisfaction of building owners, residents, and visitors to the building as well as enhancing the real estate value due to the importance of mobile phones as lifelines during emergencies and disasters.

Because JTOWER infrasharing equipment is simplified, it helps reduce electricity consumption.
(When electricity costs are paid by the real estate company, etc., the applicable reduction in cost can be applied.)

As a rule, JTOWER infrasharing is designed primarily to cover the entire building (including sublevel parking and backyards), using shared antennas for all mobile operators so that there are no differences in area coverage.

Construction is required in the building each time a mobile operator adds or changes equipment at different times (eg. After installation is complete for mobile operator A and B, mobile operator C starts installation).

Even in cases where mobile operators implement system changes at different times, with JTOWER, there is virtually no need for additional constructions.
(In the MDF room, the only construction required is for mobile operator base stations and connection from a base station to JTOWER shared equipment.)

Even in cases where mobile operators implement system changes at different times to deal with changes in the surrounding environment or building owner requests, with JTOWER, there is virtually no need for additional constructions which may have been required in the past.

For properties where individual systems for each mobile operator are not the responsibility of the real estate company (mobile operator is responsible for full cost), there are no costs for using JTOWER in-building solution.
